Was curious if their were any operation sessions near me. I’m from Kennebunk, Maine and was hopeing to hook up with someone to check out how they do their sessions. I’m in the planning phase of my layout and have been for some time but i think watching a ops session would give me even more info for planning my model railroad.
Thanks,
I hope that you find an operaton’s session you can participate in, but in any case, I would encourage you to go on the net and look up LyonValleyNorthernRailroad.com. This club is in Canada and they do a wonderful job of explaining railroad operations on their club layout in HO scale. I have been in the same mode of planning a new layout and have learned so much from this club. There are 8 or so video’s and several of them are 20 to 28 minutes of actual operations with an explanation of each step in the process.
I’m from Melbourne, FL and am involved in planning my next layout and have been influenced by the Northern Valley Northern Railroad.
Hope you enjoy the video’s and learn a tremendous amount as I have.

Hey John,
I appreciate that i will check them out tonight.
Thanks alot!!!
The Great Falls Model Railroad Club in Auburn is one of the largest and most active clubs in the Maine. They are building a new layout in their building on Mill St. I do not know if they are at the point that they can have operation sessions, however, they may have members that have sessions at there personal layouts and may be looking for others to join their crew. Or at least come by for a visit. It’s not that far a drive up the Turnpike from Kenebunk. At may be worth contecting them to see what is going on
