Decided to go with the California Zypher with the Western Pacific F3A engine N Scale. I’ll eventually add the second engine when I have more money. Super Excited to start my layout.
Thanks to everyone who answered my questions in my origional thread.
Way to go Steven. It’s always fun when that stuff gets delivered. It’s just as good as opening a Christmas present, even better because you picked it. TF
[<:o)] Way to go Steven, I have the Broadway Limited version in HO and I ran mine yesterday. I had to put down a new curve, (6th time), I just can’t get it right eventhough in HO it is a 28 inch curve. The passenger cars do much better now although it is a little low on the out side track, may have to schim it up a bit, but the CZ coaches look great.
Eventhough I mainly run eastern roads, I still run what I like making my layout somewhat eclectic, but that’s fine with me. It’s not unusual to see a UP run through then two Southern F units with a freight behind.
It’s my railroad and I have fun with it. They are right about laying your track, take your time. I have also built a large N scale layout but with my eye sight I had to make a trade off and go with HO, I can see it better.
As you get into it you will sometimes have frustrations, but keep at it, the satisfactions out way everything, so enjoy and have fun.
With Kato, you’re off to a good start, with quality equipment that will last. Most of the frustration experienced by newcomers to the hobby comes from their initial purchases. Welcome aboard and enjoy!
Additionally, I´d like to recommend Kato Unitrack as being the most reliable track system for N scale. It is not as flexible due to the lack of flex track, but it works better than any other track!
