what is needed ? mine does not have a operating switch.
You could get away with just a simple rotary switch with one pole-four positions.
Wire DC+ to the common on the signal and wire the — to the switch common then each color to the leg of the switch for R-G-Y and off. Use at least a 1KΩ resistor on each leg going to each LED. The intensity varies a bit between the LEDs so you might want a slightly higher value on the red and a little lower on the Yellow and green.
Otherwise, my personal favorite is the Signal Animator from LogicRail:
https://www.logicrailtech.com/
The SA-1 or SA-1-IR will operate the 115 signal in a close approximation of the real thing by changing to red when the train passes the photocell or IR sensor.
Once the train clears a selectable timer starts and changes to yellow, then green after a 10 to 20 second delay.
They run about ~ $22-$25.
I have no experience with these Chinese ones but they might be worth looking into?
Good Luck, Ed
how a bout a manual control by a atlas 205 conector. i can get a new signal one from mrc with shipping for 26 and its built with the controller included.
OK, sounds good!
Regards, Ed
this has been a good week for work on the railroad about 22 hrs and i found out that if you look closely at menards there 18-22 gauge crimps will work on the 115 signals but you have to look for undersized crimps otherwise there to big for the wires. I can hide these crimps with bushes and we all know that most areas in the usa have bushes. 2 ARE YOU SUGGESTING THE 205 ATLAS CONNCTORS OR A NEW UNIT FROM MRC PRE WIRED.
PS NOW MY WIRING IS REALLY TIDY AND I AM USING WIRE LOOMS AROUND MY MINI WIRING HARNESSES.
