What is the locomotive roster of your railroad? And do they have any remarks on them (Ie ex CSX, Conrail etc)
I’m not really sure how many engines I have floating around…but I do know a few notables;
All under Milwaukee Road colors;
A FP45, 2 F7A-B sets, a Trainmaster, a venerable S-12, even a U-Boat U-33C.
For steamers, there is a 4-6-4 that makes an appearance now and then, among others.
Should be more specific, but I don’t have my engine numbers in front of me.
Under the Misc. Category;
Two BN GP40’s, one Rock Island SD40-2 , and representing Amtrak, a F7A.
A couple 44 tonners for the industries, even a Budd RDC from the Santa Fe. (It’s “leased” according to my model RR’s story.)
If you can’t tell already, this all comes from a midwest themed model railroad.
Current roster is:
CN 3085, class MR-16j, RS10S in Floppy Noodle paint
CN 3218, class MR-24b, C424M in Floppy Noodle paint
CN 9162, class GFA-17a, F7au in modified Sgt. Stripes paint, currently in the paint shop.
CN 9314, class C-1-A-b, CFA-16-4 in Green & Gold freight scheme, post 1954.
I’ve also got a GF-430a [GP40-2L(W)] currently being built.
My locomotive roster is a representation of the C&O and Chessie(C&O).I do have some Chessie(B&O) units.I also have locomotives lettered for my C&HV…For other units I have 2 R.J.Corman,2 IHB.,1 MRS,1 Indiana Railroad ,1TRRA,2 CR,3 NS…Plus 1 C&O Allegheny.For my N scale all units are lettered formy C&HV except for 2 C&O RS1s…Also on order 2 GP38s and 2 B23-7s…All NS units.

My current roster consists of over 150 engines, split 70/30 steam/diesel. Most of these engines will eventually be purged (sold), as they’re leftovers from my freelancing days (lots of old Mantua Mikes and Pacifics). My target is to have 30-40 engines layout-ready for my three-level monstrosity.
Most of my engine roadnames are “undec”. Other favorites include the NKP, P&E, P&PU, IC, and GM&O. On deck to paint and letter are more NKP, P&E, P&PU, Pennsy, IC, TP&W and ATSF.
Since I model Rio Grande steam (with SP trackage rights) I’ve got a pretty diverse roster. Rio Grande includes one of everything from 2-8-0 thru 4-6-6-4 (Baldwins not the 3800 series UP lookalikes), though I had to kit-bash my F-81 2-10-2. SP is represented by AC 5-6-8 series 4-8-8-2’s, one each 2-8-0, 2-8-2, 2-10-2, 4-8-2 and several GS-series 4-8-4’s, plus an AC-9 2-8-8-4. I have several ‘on loan’ locos (since my era is set in the WWII-Korean War era) most notably from the C&S (2-8-2, 2-10-2), GN (2-10-2, 4-8-2, 4-8-4) and a couple of Pennsy M 4-8-2’s. And I shouldn’t forget my ‘never was’ Rio Grande 3900 series 2-8-8-4’s, based on the Missabe Yellowstones (I can sort of claim them, as in real life, the Missabe loaned about eight of these handsome beasts to the Rio Grande during the winters of WWII, when the Great Lakes were frozen over). The Rio Grande is currently testing a C%O Allegheny 2-6-6-6 on the Yuba River Sub for possible purchase from Lima. It’s fun. If you’re an HO scale fisherman on my North Fork of the Yuba River, you have NO idea of what’s going to come down the track, next!
ok let’s see

2 EMD SW1500’s

More than my wife thinks is necessary …
The newly reorganized Muddy Creek Railroad Company has a new Shay on order as well as a new Consolidation. In addition, we have bid on a used NYC Pacific at auction. Our shop is currently bashing a Class A Climax to help the Shay on the logging line.
The current locomotive roster consists of a single bizzare machine that runs on a fuel obtained by the fractional distillation of crude oil. It appears to be similar to those machines that were being promoted by Rudolf Diesel. It claims to be Class RS3 and seems to have been built by ALCO, though the current 1917 catalog does not list this strange item. The LPBs in the shop see no future for this machine and are agreed that it has to go. They would like a new 0-6-0 switcher in its place.
Anything to keep them happy.
Wayne.

After swearing I would never own an F unit, I now have 6 A units and 9 B units. All painted in B&O blue, gray, and black scheme. Along with my F unit fleet I have a varity of GPs all in Chessie with B&O sub lettering. Lately I’ve picked up some RS-1s and RS-11s. Not sure how I’m going to work these into the B&O roster.
I dabble in Western Maryland as well, some F units, GP and an SD45. They don’t see a lot of action, sorry WM fans.

My roster is slowly growing…
Athearn Genesis F-3A-F-3B set, going to buy the full ABBA set next year,
Athearn Genesis USRA Light Mikado, going to be lettered for (???)
Bachmann Spectrum Balwdwin 2-8-0, not going to be used or going to be re-powered
BLI USRA heavy mikado
All are CB&Q execpt for the Spectrum 2-8-0, which is a Rock Island engine, and the light mikado will either be lettered for Rock Island or another road in Minnestoa/Wisconsin. I am thinking of modeling Upper Midwest with CB&Q, NP, GN, Rock Island, and DM&IR, but for right now CB&Q is the only road I am sure I’m going to feature on the layout.
Matters exactly, in HO I have many engines (I’ve posted a list in other topics) but in N I have nothing for the moment.
