Well I do these for funsies and have posted a few “painted” drawnings on the forums and have had good responses so I thought I would share the ones I have done. All are based on 1:55 scale drawings from a web site that I forgot the name of. The BN units I drastically redid, changing things and detailing to match photo’s of the pictured units from a spotters guide, and the SLS units are a freelanced RR inspired by MR’s new layout, mainly because I was very sure I would build it but didn’t care to run it as Union Pacific. I have some unexplained grievance against UP apearently. Enjoy.
Some of them are 1:55, but a number are 1:87 or 1:25
But you ignored the copyright notice most of them include, which states:

FYI, most people who use these have the courtesy to include the link back to the original site.
I did say funsies but I didn’t use my usual “for poops and giggles” phrase, not as mondane as the first. Nor did imfringe upon any copyright “laws”. For one thing, I didn’t use that site, so even if I did plagarice the copyright, it wasn’t that persons. Second, as I said previously, I didn’t infringe upon any laws. The pictures seen ARE NOT the original ones. They have been modified with added details, changed details, in some cases details removed, and of course colored. I guess some of that credit-filler business law class I had to take back in high school stuck with me. I used to tick of the teacher by walking into the back shop and start doing things. The law class used the class room for the wood shop class. Small school.
You guys are looking for http://trainiax.net/mescaleloco55.htm They got several thousand 1:55 scale drawings, all undercorated. I’m not sure if this is where MILW-RODR got his, but it is a great reference tool, and i use it all the time.
Soon as I saw this subject matter, I knew the self professed lawyers would surface, it seems like the only law that exists these days, is that one must not enjoy themselves or have fun.
I personally like the artwork and commend your ability, its the sort of thing that I like, if people don’t want their material used, they should’nt post it, lets get on with having fun with those that are courteous and unselfish enough to share.

It’s sad the paranoia about what could be done with the drawings.
Here’s something for ya’ll to chew on, I did drawing based on one of Half-Moon’s Saddletanked Duplex Cab Forwards. When I went looking for permission, the provided contact links were out of date, unusued, or in one case, the guy had nothing to do with the group who had done the drawings for 10 years. I’m afraid the statute of limitations has run out on RR.paintshop, because we can’t get permission anyway.
Trainiax is done by one of the biggest players in rr.paintshop, his copyrights ARE still in play as far as I know. All it is is one e-mail, might I use this drawing for my Free-lance? No harm done. Personally, I’d still ask even if I put details on. But is there real harm here? Nah.
EDIT: the so-called problem is posting, not using. yiu can do millions for private use if you want.
Anyway, MILW, I like the White Salt Lake Southern. A pain to keep clean I bet, but the red/white works.
Y’all missed my point. I was saying he should include a link back to the source, as requested by at least one source website. Credit where its due (and asked for) … I know it’s a strange concept on the internet.
I’ll leave MILW alone from now on to enjoy his booming art and legal careers.
When I was new to the hobby in '72 and enthralled with the techniclor Chessie locomotives, I did an HO ABA set of Alco PAs. While executed well, it was just way too much and I repainted them to Santa Fe after 2 guys at the club became nausieous.
Thanks guys. I’m still working on SLS trains. Still need to do an F45, GP15-1, SD50, and GP38. I also need to redue the SD40 shown. Last night I figured what engines the Salt Lake Southern would have, engine numbering, and even the number of motive power. I think I may only use the herald on the nose though, I don’t know I would do the custom graphics needed for that. I will most likely stick with the white scheme, but I’m working on an all yellow one. I’m also working on an SD40 with the longer 116" nose, I like better than the shorter nose but I don’t know if anyine makes the larger nose 40 in N. I also may use SD45’s instead of the 50:
