I am building the ‘Town and Factory’ building set for the Woodland Scenics ‘Scenic Ridge’ layout. I have built the buildings and have air-brush painted the brick portion of the buildings and the roofs with acrylic paints. Now it is time to paint the details (trim, windows, doors, etc.). I have several questions.
-
Since the building faces are not completely flat and have details embossed in the sides, how to I mask the building to paint the details?
-
Is there a special type of masking tape to use?
-
My plans are to spray the larger details and hand-paint the others (window frames, etc.). Is this the best approach?
I don’t want to make a mess of the buildings. The details are quite tiny (n-scale).
Thank You…
