Parts for Roundhouse (Althearn) Coal Car

Hi,

Does any one out there know where I can get a brake wheel, a brake cylinder, a check valve and an air tank for a N&W 3 Bay Rib Side Hopper?

I checked with Athearn and they didn’t have the parts or knew where I might be able to obtain them.

I also checked with my local hobby shop and they didn’t know of any place either. I really don’t care if it is actually N&W brakes systems or the color, I can always paint them.

I have 6 (six) cars that need these parts so that I can have 2 complete coal trains (one train loaded the other unloaded).

Also, at http://www.athearn.com/Products/Parts/Default.aspx, item 90600 is a brake wheel, and item 90772 is identified as an “ex-MDC AB brake set”. You might send an e-mail to Athearn and ask them if this set includes the brake wheel.

Athearn has the parts listed on their web site. Check with them again and give them this information:

You see Athearn used the same parts in all their BB car kits and they are very similar to the MDC parts.
