Anyone noticed that the Unifrog is about 10mm shorter than the Insulfrog?
Anyone know what the track centres are? IIRC the Insulfrog was 2".
Doesn’t greatly matter for what I am doing, just curious.

The Electrofrog #6 is exactly the same length as the Unifrog #6.
The Peco track centres are 2".
I don’t have an Insulfrog #6 handy but they are the same size as the Electrofrog.
Why do you think they are shorter?
My guess would be it is a product improvement that was not publicized. Possibly the change was made for ease of manufacture.

According to the template the unifrog is 223.5 mm long and the insulfrog 233.5 mm. Perhaps you could check the unifrog if you have one on hand?
In the mean time, if you printed these templates yourself, could you check the printer settings?
Or if numerically printed, could be a typo?
I have a first run Unifrog #6 right hand, it is 233 mm long. (I’m not getting the calipers out).
How many runs of the Unifrog have there been? Its introduction was pretty recent.
One guy says the Unifrog is 233 mm, while the other guy says 223 mm.
Who is right and who is wrong? That difference is pretty significant, 0.3937" to be exact.
My recollection is that the Insulfrog is approximately 9 1/4 inches. I have lots of them on my layout, but I am too lazy to walk downstairs to the layout to measure one of them.
The Peco #6 Insulfrogs that I recently removed from the package measure 9 3/16ths inches, which Google tells me converts to 233.3625mm.
I don’t have any Unifrogs.
I have some Unifrogs that I bought from ModelTrainStuff in December, so probably current production. I just went down and measured them, they are 235 mm long and have 2" track spacing. I haven’t used them yet, but they look like they are going to be very nice turnouts, with the solid point rails and factory installed jumper wires. They also have a small wire lead already connected to the frog.
I measured the Unifrog. Unless Peco changed their tooling since the original release the 223 mm is a typo or other error.
I don’t have a unifrog to measure, just going by what is on the Peco website and on their template. Starting to sound like an error on Peco’s website if those whose them measure the same as the insulfrog.
