Peco no. 8 turnouts offer more options for HO
Another great product from Peco, then again I can’t think of anything they’ve produced that did not exceed expectations. I use mainly Electrofrog but on the odd occassion I’ve purchased Insulfrog points I’ve found them to be excellent. The No. 8’s I’ve used look and operate very well.
Here in UK there is much talk of re-wiring turnouts for DCC. I built an ‘N’ gauge DCC layout using Electrofrog turnouts straight from the box and simply using insulating fishplates at the frog and feeding the ‘dead’ rail from the DCC bus. I have had no problems.
I HAVE MANY PECO TURNOUTS CODE 100 BOTH ELECTROFROG AND INSULFROG AND THEY ALL LOOK GREAT AND WORK PERFECT. WISH THEY WOULD MAKE CODE 100 IN AMERICAN STYLE TURNOUTS.
