Gary:
Try hunting down some old magazine ads. I have found some great interior color artist renderings and photos. Try looking on ebay and google. I have found several for Santa Fe. A word of caution: sometimes the artist renderings are just that. They may not neccessarily reflect the actual colors.

Chris Smith
Thanks for the suggestions Chris, will give it a go. Had recently bought an old Pennsy time table, however, as luck would have it the ads inclusive were not in color.

Gary,
If you have the Walther’s Pullman 10/5 Cascade series sleeper there is a picture in “PRR Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment Vol. 3” on page 28. Through the windows you can see the seats in the rooms are dark brown or red in color with light grey walls and dark brown shades in the windows. On page 38 is an interior picture of a Falls series 6 bedroom lounge car, it has a white celing, light blue walls and seats that are mainly red with a few med. blue and green thrown in and white tables. On page 39 are pictures of the observation lounge of the Tower View used on the Broadway Limited, it has cream walls, red seats with a few med. green, white table tops and blue carpeting.
Another good reference book is PRR Passenger Trains, Consists and Cars-1952 Vol. 1
Eddystone,

Gary,
You might also want to check out the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical and Historical Society:

I believe they also have a monthly modeling magazine and a Web forum.
