Very interesting photo of the week, reminds we somewhat of O Winston’s Link’s shot of the steam locomotive passing behind a drive in theater, full of automobiles, which was showing a jet airliner on the movie screen…the two major reasons for the decline in passenger trains in America, both the automobile and the jet airliner were destined to become American icons themselves.
Nice shot…

Agreed-Nice shot.
Bit of trivia. Link had to “doctor” the shot. The original has no image on the movie screen and the airplane was added in the darkroom. No big secret.
Kinda figured…too perfect a shot not to be worked over some…but then, Link was really good at setting up shots in the first place…he managed to get most of a railroad to “pose” for him at one time or the other…not a bad way to enjoy life.

It is a nice photo. I wonder how long he had to wait to get a shot like that?
At O’Hare, probably not long, if the locomotive was sitting still.
Flew in there once at Christmas…don’t want to do that again, ever…
And maybe I am a wuss, but by golly that city is cold, cold, cold…
Nothing like coming home to the nice warm swamp to make me realize how good it really is here…
