I’ve hit many of the usual suspects already: Flickr, Tumblr, Flickriver (Flickr but more user friendly), Shorpy, various historical societies and associations, public libraries, rail museums, Pinterest, Google Images, Life magazine archives…
Am I missing any obvious photo resources for railroads? There are many individual web sites run by fans of various railroads. Many of them I have already bookmarked. I always have this nagging feeling that I’m missing something obvious…
Railimages is a part of Trainboard. They are nominally a free service, but they do ask for contributions. I did that while I was working, but stopped when I retired. Trainboard is a forum like this one.
