Photo: Two New Iowa Interstate GEVO Deliveries and a Question.

Hi All,

Here is a photo of NS 145 on 9-17-08 at Brook Park (Cleveland) OH with a set of BNSF locomotives and two new Iowa Interstate GEVO’s in tow, from what I hear, their road numbers will be 505 and 511.

Question, behind the two new GEVO’s are six locomotive frames on flat cars. Does anyone have any idea where they might be going? There were no markings or writing on them. All that is for sure is that they were westbound on NS 145 on 8-17-08. Thanks in advance for any information.

The six GE frames on flat cars were going west of Cleveland OH??? When I first seen I figured they were part of the 600+ going to China as kits, but I thought they were being shipped overseas from Philly. (2 fully built were anyway.) I could be wrong though. Hope it helps.

Yes, they were heading west toward Bellevue. After that I have no idea were 145 goes.

For anyone interested, these frames are bound for MRS in Brazil and they will be AC44i’s when complete.

Wow! I’m trying to picture the IAIS paint scheme on a GEVO. I’m sure they will look awesome. I hope to see them in Blue Island, IL on the daily CBBI.

Frames bound for PTRA at Houston Texas, we will deliver them to Texas Terminals to be loaded into ships, and they will end up in Brazil.

We has had four or five shipments of them over the last two weeks or so.

We just set some out yeasterday.

If they are still in the yard this morning, I will get a few photos.

NS 145 goes to Fort Wayne on the ex NKP line then takes the ex Wabash towards KC.

Does anybody know when the IAIS units will be getting paint and where?

Mid America Car in Kansas City.
