Hi guys,
my second trip to the United States in june brings me up to the North-East. I have planned a trip to Altoona and and as fan of electric trains, from there via Harrisburg to the Northeast Corridor around Philadelphia, Wilmington and maybe Trenton.
I´m looking for good photo points that are public accessible, and all kind of tips for being there.
Is there a chance to camp in this area, in form of a public camping ground?
Thanks,
Michael –
Welcome to the northeast and the corridor! Should be enjoyable – but do take advantage of the oddly good rail service on the corridor and take a run up to Boston and back, while you’re here. And when you are in New York, hop above ground, take a cab and go over to Grand Central Terminal. Trust me – it’s worth the cab ride.
There are good train watching spots all over the place; I’m most familiar with ones farther downeast… and good camping.
Give us a shout…
So hwat are your favourite places, both for camping and watching?
Thanks
Sounds like you are going to be staying in or near Philadelphia.
Give me a call, will be glad to give you some tips and/or show you around ein bischen. Here’s a web-site with some local camp sites.
