Pic test

I tried posting pictures today also, but nothing seems to work…

My brothers downloaded IE7. I hear that is the problem when posting pics. -dekruif

I did that too. Any one figure a way to fix it?

Use Firefox.

I had the same problem a few weeks back. It has to be something with ( 7 ) . I tried using firefox and something else that was suggested on here and nothing doing. Got rid of 7 and restored back to six and now everything is posting fine?

C.C.

7 does not work for pictures. What is really odd is that they work in preview mode, but then do not work when posted. Apparently the forum software is being fixed to accomodate it. I hope they do, because I really like IE7. I use both it and Firefox and much prefer the extra features and the UI of 7. In particular the web page zoom feature of IE 7 lets a user with a wide screen hi res display really optimize their viewing experience. I have been using it for a month or two now and have virtually stopped using Firefox as I like it so much better.

I use Opera mainly. We got IE7 on our new computer and I hate it. It is so slow when you turn on all the security features that its like going back to dialup. I particuarlly like the “Wand” feature on Opera, which allows you to press Ctrl + Enter on pages and it automatically enters your username and password.

Unless they [MS] have fixed the problems that IE6 had, especially downloading virii and spyware without you even having to do anything to get them, I wouldn’t even touch 7 with a 29 and a half foot pole… then again, I only trust the “security” of MS products as far as I can throw them…

TRY THIS

Other than those telling people to use their particular browser, no real suggestions have been made re this photo posting problem. The sticky post at the top of the forum “How to post pictures” doesn’t work for me. I too just switched to IE7 and in test posts, my Photobucket images will not post. No really big deal as I just won’t be able to post photos on this particular forum until a solution is found. It will be interesting when Microsoft’s new Vista operating system comes into effect in the new year, to see if it has problems too.

Bob,

The sticky doesn’t work for me, either and I still have IE 6.

I consider myself to be a very experienced and savy user (I helped establish the National Park Service’s national web presence) and I still can’t get a pic to post here. Arrgghhh.
