Pictures and Video of Aftermath of Collision Between CPR Train and Oil Tanker Truck

Yesterday, May 12, an east bound CPR train collided with a tanker truck carrying crude oil at a grade crossing southeast of Brooks, AB, on the transcontinental mainline. There was a massive fire and the truck driver was killed. There was confusion among the Calgary media outlets as to the exact location of the incident, but piecing info together from various sources, it appears to have happened just east of the east switch of the siding at Kininvie, as seen briefly in the video. I have seen a gas tanker truck after an accident. It was going down the highway and a car tried to cross highway and hit trailer. Trailer exploded and looked like a giant pop can cut open laying mostly flat on the ground. Person in car died. Intersection was an angled where it crossed the highway. Because of the accident a new crossing was made with 90 degree angle. Old one where accident happened was closed.
