PIKO Spielwaren Ltd wireless DCC system
This seems like a lot of train control power for the money. It’s drawbacks are not that serious as long as we are forewarned, as per your review…
It looks something I would like to get my hands on. Being new to this generation of operating material. My first run was 30 years ago, and for me it has changed for the better but, more expensive.
It looks pretty primitive for the money. I think the Digitrax Zepher is a better investment for a similar price. For under $200 it has more stationary address, more locomotive addresses, supports 10 throttles, rated for 2.5 amps.,and is easily upgradable to all the Digitrax line.
This the type of system I have been anticipating; Wireless is the way to go. Not sure this is the right system for me now - but am waiting for some domestic makers (NCE, Digitrax, others) before making the “leap”. I applaud PIKO for this step foward. I have been waiting to go DCC all the way and it looks like it’s coming my way soon.
The price looks right compared to other wireless offerings. Is there a screen to see what you are punching in?
Rather look out for the new Bachman offering called Dynamis. Not yet available in North America but far more powerful and user friendly. Also totally wireless.Save your money
I am liking what I see as I am about to take the plung into DCC. I am wondering how this will stack up to Lenz?
