Recent I saw a P42DC that has “Pinch Point” by the side of the door at the rear of the locomotive. What is a Pinch Point?
If you stick a finger in the crevice and operate the door I am sure you can figure it out.
Isn’t pretty much ANY door a “Pinch Point”?

Some B&O F units had a warning on the doors to “keep hands clear of closing doors”.

I recall seeing a hinged ‘flap’ on some end doors of heavyweight Pullman cars. These prevented fingers getting pinched at least on the hinge-side of the door.
In a more extreme case there was a brakeman on Penn Central here in NE Ohio whose entire forearm was severed when the slack ran out and slammed the caboose door shut while he was reaching for something on the conductor’s desk.
We MRs sure like cabooses but they really were an added hazard for crews.
