I was working on my railroad this weekend and I used white glue to put down some Arizona Rock and Mineral high desert ground cover. It was really apparent that it is too dark and brown for what I am looking for. I vacuumed the excess off and then decided to paint over it with my light tan latex paint despite that fact the the white glue wasn’t entirely dry. When the paint dried there were many small cracks in the paint just like a dry lake bed would look. With a slightly darker color it might look good as dried mud. since I was planning on putting in a dry lake bed I am now going to use this technique. - Nevin
