Rather than clutter this thread with my pictures (plus too lazy) I list here a link to some pictures taken recently on my trip to the US from the UK. There are a number of galleries from the US, Canada, Germany and the UK. If you have time please take a look.

Here’s one that I haven’t posted yet. Kind of an artsy-fartsy thing, but still Railroad related. As always, expand the pic for the best viewing experience.

Shot was taken in Roggen, CO. a couple weeks back. I had done this shot before, but it was with a coal drag parked in front of the elevator. On this particular day, I was chasing a supercell up I-76. While driving past Roggen, I noticed the grain train parked there. I finally gave up the chase a little before Ft. Morgan. While it was a well structured storm, with lots of big hail, it just didn’t want to spin. Rather than wasting a lot of gas for nought, I stopped at Roggen, and re-shot the picture.

You can actually see the top of the anvil in the upper left hand picture. The lighting was better this time around, too. The sun was lower in the sky, and it was a little more hazy, so the light was really warm, and not too contrasty.

Picture was taken with a D60, and 16-35mm f2.8L. One of these days, I’m going to actually do this shot correctly with my 4x5, and T-Max. I can shift up, and avoid the elevator falling over. Still, it does give the impression of size when its falling over. Might have to do it both ways…hmmmm…

I’ve got piles and piles of train pictures… lots of 'em on my website too!!! Check it out:

Here is one that is sitting on a way track next to the GM plant loading docks. The truck the Tahoes and Escalades accross the freeway and load them on to autoracks for shipment.

Again this is in Arlington,Texas
