Power wire colors for animated crane???

Gantry Crane looks like a Roco/Marklin cousin - It has a blue and a red wire that seems to go to the power source plus the plug/pin connectors. I have ordered a transformer that fits the specs(A/C current) - Does it run like house wires with a hot and neutral or does it matter? Thanks Chris

Any 16 volt transformer should do. The one you listed simply plugs into the wall. radio shack should also have one that works for pretty cheap…
