Precision Craft Models

Dear Forum Members,

It is my pleasure to announce the initial product delivery for Precision Craft Models. Below is some information about our first product and our company.

The Precision Craft Models Mission
Precision Craft Models mission is to produce high quality, innovative train products that allow model railroaders to enjoy the hobby to the fullest.

The Reading T1
The big news from our headquarters in sunny Florida is that the HO Reading T1’s, including the American Freedom Train and Chessie Steam Special, have shipped. Initial response from distributors, dealers and most importantly customers have been outstanding. Paul Hyde emailed us “yesterday I received my Reading T-1 and boy am I impressed. The appearance is spot-on and she runs like a top.” Another customer writes “I love the way you guys did the flickering firebox and the fact that the flicker can be seen from the sides of the firebox.”

More good news is that there is still some of each version of the Reading T1’s in stock. See your favorite dealer or call Precision Craft Models direct at 386-615-1912. Precision Craft will even upgrade your shipping to UPS 2nd air at no addition cost, until December 22nd. This offer is available only to customers that order directly from PCM and are located in the contiguous 48 states.

I didn’t think we could advertise here.

We’re not supposed to. The moderator might take this one down. Thanks for the heads up and Merry Christmas Ken. In the future you may just want to post a link and say “HEY, check this out”

Dear Forum Members,

My sincere apologies. No disrespect intended.

Ken

As a paid MR advertiser I would think they would be okay. At least we know they will get a good product review.

i didn’t see any disrespect there , but thanks for apologizing . i suppose it could be a form of disrespect that someone would come here and their first post be an advertisment . this is a place for communication and community , it would show more respect if you became part of that community before you tried to sell us something .

i fully agree with the no advertising policy , without it every second message would be from some company rep telling us how their product would fix whatever problem our posts discussed . of course you’d never hear from them when somebody had a complaint about a product .

on the other hand , PCM seems to make a very nice product , certainly the photos on the website look great . now impress the heck out of me and build models of turn of the century steam (2-6-0 , 4-6-0 , 4-4-0 etc.) with DCC and sound and i’ll even buy some [:)]

My take from Bergie has been that a new product ‘announcement’ is usually no problem and is welcome. MR just does not want constant advertising and selling on the forum. I find this update from PCM to be good(nice to understand the issues with the E7 delay). There have been other ‘product announcements’ from manufacturers in the past and there has been no problem.

Jim

I’d like to get me one of them PRR 4-8-2 M1a Mountains in N scale, with LokSound.[;)]

Where can I get a DC Master sound thingy?
