Primer for multiple pastics

I am working on an N scale locomotive project. The shell includes the original styreme body, added styrene revisions, engineering plastic handrails, FUD 3D printed details, and etched and cast metal detail parts. I have a rattle can of Tamiya surface primer. Will this be an adequate primer for all of these parts? I will be painting the model with True Color paints. Thanks for your input.

The Tamiya primer will work well on everything except the engineering plastic.

Tamiya makes paint for polycarbonate R/C car bodies that works well as a primer on engineering plastic. Cody used PS-32 Corsa Gray to prime the handrails of an Atlas locomotive in December’s Step by Step column.

He has some other painting and finishing tips there that might be useful, as well.
