In the MR newsletter of 12/16, I’m having a problem viewing “Cody’s office”. The clip starts fine but stops and returns to the beginning just before Cody’s introduction is complete.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have a possible solution?
I have enjoyed “Cody’s Office” from the very beginning. I’m always disappointed when there is no episode of “Cody’s Office” (a rare occurance!). Often when there is no episode, I don’t bother to view any of the other attractions in the newsletter (that’s a not-too-subtle hint to the MR staff and editors! LOL).
Appreciate anyone’s comments on solving my viewing problem or on “Cody’s Office” in general.
I didn’t have any problems. You might try what I do when I watch them. I’ll click to play the video, and as soon as it starts, I pause it, allowing the video to finish loading before playing. I sometimes have to do the same thing on YouTube videos.
Looks like you both may have the same problem or combination of problems. Back a couple of months ago I found that my ISP (Internet Service Provider) was the cause as they were doing some upgrades on the system and did’nt tell me that they had reverted back to the old system (sometimes used for fall back emergency service if main service fails) while they worked on the main system. So first talk to them especially if you have to press the pause to allow the video to load so that you don’t get interuptions…
Secondly it could be your computer is an old boat and can’t keep up, or if your using software such as Windows Media Player check for updates (free) as MR just upgraded there system which could mean what every software your using is not as compatible as it once was.
Cody’s office is working fine on my pc. Chatanuga has a good idea and it is something I have to do once in a while Sometimes I just shut my pc completely down, reboot it and this seems to help resolve some of the transient problems that pop up once in a while.
I’ve had this problem twice. Has nothing to do with Cody’s Office. Unfortunately my son that fixed the problem is not here tonight. He went to my computer, then went some where to “clean up” the files. Worked fine when he was done.
I’ve also had the slow loading problem. Most of the time, pausing and waiting solves the problem.
Sorry I can’t give you all the steps. Maybe someone that is more computer savy will know what steps I am talking about.
