Has anyone else had problems with this loco negotiating switches without stalling? Mine will not go through the curved leg of a Realtrax 042 unless it is going like mad. The pickup rollers are only 2-1/8" apart. What was Lionel thinking. The rollers on a Docksider are 3-1/2" apart. Since there is no tether the tender pickup rollers do not help with engine pickup. Comments?
I solved the problem, added the tether and it runs great. I can creep through a switch with no hesitation. Why didn’t Lionel build it that way?
