PRODUCT HUNT

Hi all,

I am in the process of detailing more of my city structures. I have in the past used these sign kits from Walters, but I can’t seem to find them any more. Did Walters discontinue this item? Do they still make the decals for them? I tried to contact Walters, but got no response as of yet . Would any one know anything about this item.

Thanks to all in advance.

Sam

Do you have the Walthers part number?

Sorry, I don’t have the part number, which is part of the problem.

Sam

I don’t have it immediately handy to prove but I have knowledge:

It used to be a kit that they seemingly don’t offer any more. The sprue with those parts can be found in the Merchant Row 1 kit nowadays (a lot of money for just that sprue!). In the instructions for that kit, it makes a reference to the sign kit being a separate kit that is “included.” I think there was a part number referenced, but it was a different format than the use in the catalog now.

Those look like the sign sprues that came with my Merchants’ Row kit. I don’t think they are sold separately.

Despite my habit of never throwing anything away, I can’t find the sign sheet. I know it’s somewhere, but stuff gets buried when you never throw anything away.

Walthers Sign Kit was 941-3136. Later renumbered 933-3136, discontinued. Was $4.98. Guessing it was one or two sets of signs and decals.

Hi,

if you are looking for decals you may find a million here in this forum:

May be you find the right to print out your own?

Sam, it seems that Nittany Lion has found the sign kit and the Walthers Item Number. Since the sign kit is discontinued, and it wouldn’t make sense to buy the Merchant’s Row kit just to get the signs, I have a suggestion.

Start a new thread and title it something like Merchant’s Row Kit I - Need Parts. That will get the attention of any forum members who have previously purchased the kit. Someone may not have bothered with the signs and would gladly give them to you.

Rich

I have a Walthers Carfloat kit, also now discontinued. I lost the instructions. I sent an e-mail to Walthers, and had a PDF file of the instructions in my inbox within an hour.

So, it doesn’t hurt to try. They may have the file on their computer. Since they are still making the Merchants’ Row kits, they’d probably send you a sheet or two of the decals for nominal price.

I think that Sam is looking for those blank signs as well as the decals.

Rich

Rich,

That’s a good idea, which gives me the idea of trying ebay with the Walters part number 933-3136. Someone could have that kit hanging around.

Mr.B, thanks for that. I will give that a try as well. Your right. It never hurts to try.

Sam

That’s right Rich, I need more of the blank signs. and more decals.
