PRR B60b and R50b

Anybody know how many of each car the PRR had? thank you

Every roster I’ve come across so far lists the B60b at ‘over 500’! Did the Pennsy just lose count after that? Jerry Britton shows 555 in a 1954 roster. 355 built by ACF and Pressed Steel Car and an additional 200 with fittings for Messenger Service.

Now the R50b seems to be pinpointed at 550. JB’s roster of 1954 shows only 385 so some may have been white-lined by then?

I think what happened was more that the Penn Central and its successors lost track of the count.
