You do not need the Airwire receiver card if you run the QSI card on a DCC layout–you only need the receiver card if you are sing batteries or straight DC
Just Installed in Aristo RS-3! Wow… It was easy for a first timer! Running Analog not DCC!
Unit has Bell and horn sound control as well as RPM momentum feature that simulates slow star-up very well! I will be buying more of these. Sound quality is exceptional with Stock Aristo speaker
I have a new Aristocraft GP 40 that I want to install a sound system in. QSI is setup to install as a plug and play in the locomotive. I have the Train Engineer to run my trains with and they reccomend istalling the “SuperCap” kit to make it work better with the Train Engineer system. I have not heard the sound that this system produces, but can it be compared to the Phoenis Sound System or is the Phoenix sound system in a league of its own. I would appreciate some feedback on this. Thank you.
