Question For Eastcoast

Hey there eastcoast

you told me too pull the track up about a foot or so, will that create slack???

Jeremy

Do you have IM on aol

YES. I usually find that this will create enough slack to work
on the affected area. In the case of easy track, one foot will mean
maybe two units to each side of the switch. YOU MUST DO THIS
WITH CARE DUE TO THE UNDERCLAMPS THAY MUST BE PULLED
APART. STANDARD TRACK , in my opinion, is easier to work with and
do not have those under clamps. If you retack the easytrack down, the
clamps will not matter that much. Again, be careful and go slow.

I’d cut across the switch first, so that when you take loose the good track on each side, you have a free end to work from. I’d also err on the side of taking loose extra track so the track doesn’t kink up and down. Better to work on a little extra scenery now, than to have to relay bent/rough track later, when you find a derailment prone section. Good luck. FDM
