I went through Delano over the weekend and noticed that they have started laying tracks for Railex’s Delano facility. It looks like it will be on the other side of the Sears distribution center from Freeway 99. The tracks go east on the south side of Sears.

Well, I thought I would dig out an old thread rather than create a new one. I found the Feb 2010 article on Railex very timely as I happened to come across one of these trains on our Jan 1-3 1200 mile barnstorming foamer adventure.
Here you see a block of empties headed southbound near Earlimart on the UP Fresno Subdivision for delivery at CP SP Delfar (Delano, CA.) It was sad to see that all these giant white cars have been tagged already…but that is the sign of the times I guess. (And I missed the sun by 100 feet with this shot…but didnt have the zoom or time to pull it off)
