Railfanning in May - Colorado Style! (2 IMG)

Anyone remember the animated scene talking about the seasons in Monty Python and the Holy Grail? http://youtu.be/O7rU2l9WiYo

To residents of Colorado, that scene makes perfect sense and isn’t really all that far fetched. Case in point? Take a look at these two “spring” shots taken out along the Moffat yesterday:

Oddly enough, I didn’t mind in the slightest. Given the fact that it’s as likely to be 90ºF in May, too, I’ll take the snow any day of the week. I deal with cold a whole lot better than I do heat.

As always, C&C welcome!

Can you, uh…well, can you make it snow in Texas too?[bow]

To echo what Ed said…

Can you please send some of that SNOW sort of Southeasterly towards KANSAS? [bow]

WE are having another Drought… Supposedly worse than the Dust Bowl of the 1930’s…The only thing that is saving us from Mo’ Dust in the air is No Till Cultivation. Still pretty dusty though. [banghead]

Man, could you pack up a bit of that snow and send it to Virginia? It’s only May 12th and it’s getting HOT already! Not a hot weather person, by any means.

Having had to deal with a couple of other issues, I haven’t swapped the snow blower and the mower yet, but that doesn’t mean I want to use the snowblower (don’t really want to use the mower either, but pretty soon I won’t have a choice).

We’ve had our share of “wait five minutes and it’ll change” weather here in the north of NY.

That said - the juxtaposition of the very green grass and the very white snow is striking.

It looks like there may be a PV or two on the rear of # 6 (or is it #5). Yes? If so did you identify them?

I lived along that line for a year, and my parents live up near the tunnel now, but I don’t recognize either location, though the bottom one if it is #6 looks like down in town somewhere, Arvada maybe, just as the sun would be going down. If it is #5, based on the light I would guess the West Slope near Glenwood.
