Two weekends ago, the guys and I piled into a couple of vehicles and took a ride to Chatham to do some photography on the Central Connecting. Oh, was it hot, and we couldn’t drink enough cold beer to quench our thirst.
We started our day in Central City where we drove over to Lizard Junction. Lizard Junction is a pretty action packed location where several railroads enter the Central Connecting’s trackage. I was there primarily to shoot what Northern Pacific power, particularly the large Z class challengers that frequently show up, but the first train I shot was a transfer off of the NYC with a light mikado.
The group also shot some 8mm film, in color too.
