I have been trying order more Railrax shelves for over a month now and have not been able to reach them. Have they gone out of bussiness? Does anyone know? Thank you!
Someone will correct me if I am mixing this up, but I belive it was posted in CTT (March issue) that the owner, George Olsen passed away recently. Don’t know anything else, but I am sure others do.
Sorry to hear that. Does anyone know where I can order some of the railrax rales besides their online website? Any shops that carry their product?
About as close as you can get right now is GLENN SNYDER DISPLAY SYSTEMS.

I have ordered from both of them and I can’t tell the difference between Rail Rax and the Glenn Snyder Display systems, except in price. I think you will be happy with the Snyder shelves.

Some folks have remarked about a slight difference in surface sheen between the two brands. If you mounted your shelves on different walls, you might not notice it. Or, you might not mind. It’s not a very big thing.
My problem is that I already have 5 rows of the Railrax around the room. I would like to add two more rows and am afraid that the difference in finish will show up…
I don’t know, but I suspect that Glenn Snyder would send you a small sample of his product.* You could compare it with your existing shelves, and try lowering the sheen on the shinier of the two with a little satin- or matte-finish spray, which wouldn’t add much to the total cost.
- I believe Snyder will custom-cut his shelving. If so, he’s bound to have scraps around. Perhaps he’s run into the issue and has a solution. Give him a call.
Thank you for the suggestion. I emailed back and forth with Mr. Snyder earlier today. He offered to send a sample just as you thought he would! Sounds like a nice guy. Looking forward to seeing his display rack.
