I was at CSX’s Selkirk Yard yesterday, and saw an odd locomotive buried back in the by the classification yard.
I was hoping I could enlarge the picture I took to see what it was, but it didn’t work out right and came out blurry. So does anyone recognize the paint scheme? The engine looks like a Dash 8 but I could be wrong.

The engine on he far left(just the cab) appears to be a GE. The other 3 are EMD products: They appear to be a CSX GP38/40 series engine, A New England Central GP38-2, and a CSX engine. The photo is so fuzzy, it is hard to tell.

New England Central my first call, too.
I copied the photograph and using my special graphics package, enlarged and enhanced the picture. You can clearly see the name New England Central on the locomotive behind the pole. I did not try to get a number off of cab.

I thought it said something about New England, I just wasn’t sure what. Thanks for the help!

I used GIMP. It will do anything that you can think of that a graphics package can do.
