Never leave food on a engine manifold…it might explode(or just burn up)
Let the government run a railroad(think hmmmmm, Amtrak on non- Amtrak track???)
I got one…Never allow the engineer to tell you that he’s got everything under control (Go take a nap if you want) to because, by the time you wake up and look over at the engineer he will be asleep too. Man what a scary feeling; hope you didn’t run an absolute signal![#oops]
When running a steel mill locomotive never race another guy for the right of way at a converging switch. Both would up getting fired and did several hundred thousand dollars worth of damage.
I hope that your wife doesn’t see this post. At any rate, I’ve ridden BN suburban trains in the past with women at the throttle and I didn’t notice any difference in train-handling.
Never back a long chem train down a steep grade on a curve.BOOM!BAM!SCREEEEEEEE!
[:-^][soapbox][:O][banghead][xx(] Yes, I did this in MSTS, trying to double the hill. Never let temper get you. My engines didn’t derail(why should they, otherwise it wouldn’t derail midtrain.
Yes, and flying a plane is NOT like driving a train or a car.(Hey! I hit Mach in a Cessna!)
I went Mach 1 in a HHL-8 in …MSTS(With a steam engine, so that the smoke was just a thin stream.
Ever hear of, “Panic over order”? HMMMMMMMM!??
I actually altered MSTS just to have a little fun.
But the brakes on mSTS are crap, because a train has too much momentum. But the wrecks are very real indeed. just trains don’t go straight into a gorge.
But one train stopped one inch from the end, but moved a little bit so one engine and three cars went with it. Might I mention it had locotrol?
Packer that belongs in Hobby No-Nos
and as I told my idiot classmates, that when you stand 2 ft away from a train going 79, the vaccum will suck you in.
never get in front a train to take a photo-result-loss of your existince
