Rapido Trains Inc. introduces HO scale freight car line

i think that this is a very nice car

Looks great! I wonder if Rapido will do a B&M version?

This car looks real good but will there be any offered for Southern railroads? It would be nice to see this car for the N&W, Clinchfield, the Seaboard Coast Line and the L&N. I don’t think the Southern Ry. had this type of caboose.

Looks like a very nice car. I wish they wouldn’t offer it in US prototype paint as it’s a Canadian prototype car, I’d rather see them offer as an addition a lighting and interior system for Athearn and Atlas wide vision cabooses. Just my opinion however.

That’s cool but needs to be in BNSF paint

I like the detail and authenticity; great workmanship!

Looks like a good model. Maybe some other manufacturers would pick up on this idea and do some other versions. I’m sure that all those roads didn’t have this exact waycar, but it’s probably close. I like the idea of lighting kits, maybe with interiors, to go into existing waycars.

It gets better and better!!

Rapido - Finally a Canadian manufacturer making products for our own prototypes, CP, CN and VIA. In the 30+ years I have been in the hobby this has been a real pain to get accurate models. Keep up the excellent job!

How about an unpainted, undecorated version?

What chances is there in the cars also being in N&W paint?

I’m surprised more manufacturers don’t follow Rapido’s lead of providing full interiors and battery powered lighting including marker lights. I don’t think they’ll do a B&M version (the B&M never had wide vision cabooses) but I’d buy one if they did!

Was that the prototype that Algoma Central used?

Looks good. Anything for the B&O ?

Looks like a great detailed car. Do the lights run on track or battery power?

Bravo to Jason and the Rapido staff.
R-T-R Canadian prototype models have been “long overdue”!
Keep the trend going…and don’t look back (with respect to the freight car line). The passenger line series has already proven itself. Thank you!

I want a CP and a GN caboose. I have some Rapido Via passenger cars and if they are up to the same quality will be wonderful additions to our RR. Now please make a Royal Hudson steam loco.

My opinion is," they just can’t build them fast enough " when it comes to models of Canadian roads. Rapido is making a great effort, though I wish more manufacturers would realize that there is a market for Canadian prototypes. How about some affordable Canadian Pacific 4-6-2’s for instance?

Great stuff! I have 2 passenger cars and the quality is phenomenal. Oh, and Scott from Ohio? My passenger cars have long lasting watch batteries (2) so the lighting is great too! You won’t go wrong with Rapido!
