Rapido vs. Walthers passenger cars

I’m about to start making a big investment in passenger cars (I’m looking to buy two 7-8 car sets) and am trying to decide between Rapido and Walthers. I have a couple of Walthers cars and have been pleased with them but for a modest difference in price ($7-8), Rapido seems to deliver better detail and embedded lighting kits. Does anyone have any experience with the new Rapido cars? What do you think about them?

I don’t think the Rapido cars are out yet although they should be available soon as this was the ETA at the stores

The Rapido cars are all Canadian prototypes, so that is something to take into consideration. The Walthers cars are more representative of a wider variety of prototypes.
