Razorback Traction Co.: Crocodile Update 1/3/14

As one of my New Year’s resolutions, I vowed to get some work on the Crocodile done…

In order to install the trolley poles and pantograph, the roof headlights and air tanks had to go, alas. Dremel + saw blade = lotsa sawdust:

Helpful Hobby Hint: Those cheap plastic signs at Walleyworld make a great source of inexpensive sheet styrene:

Some sanding later:

A bit of putty to fill in the holes:

Plastruct roofwalks cover a multitude of sins:

Test fitting the pantograph (the “insulators” are brass threaded inserts salvaged from barcode scanners):

So what’s your plan for the paint scheme?

In the next installment, I demonstrate how Lectric Shave and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser remove markings without damaging the plastic… :smiley:
