Yesterday a light mist all day, enough that I’m going to leave my lawn sprinklers off a few days, Today overcast but no mist.

Demay thanks for the link info on computer on or off expense.

Yesterday I sold some home sterio speakers from a ad on Craigslist. They were expensive speakers 20 years ago and I had to give them away practacly but a little something is better than nothing or storing them, taking up space foreaver. This is part of my layout expansion.

Good afternoon,

This is my first post for May. Just wanted to say that Jean is doing well and has an appointment later today with the surgeon. We are hoping that he will turn her loose at this point. She has already gone back to work. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

No trains yet today hope all having a good day talk to you all later

That’s great news about Jean, John.

I was just watching Richard Hammond’s Crash Course as I enjoyed some fish, okra and hush puppies from Captain D’s. This time around he was driving an M1 A1A2 Abram’s tank. The tank commander had him drive it out onto an obstacle course where he was ordered to run over three classic cars. A 1979 Porsche 280, a 1970 Chevy Chevelle and a 1968 Ford Mustang. He was on the point of panic about each one but was told if he didn’t run over them he would WALKING back. So the three cars got crushed. Afterward the commander let him off the hook. All three cars were junkers brought from a junk yard. You just see the relief washing over him. He wouldn’t have to face the wrath of fellow car guys. Being a former car guy myself I had been supplementing my dinner with a steady diet of fingernail. Seeing that big tank rolling over those cars just sent chills racing up my spine!

Evenin’ fellas and gals; Gloomy, dreary and rainy in these here parts, just the way i like it for this time of year. Grass loves it. Devils humbled those nasty Broad St. bullies, Oh Yeh! Hopefully more of the same tomorrow nite. Crush those crumb bums! Rangers have thier work cut out for them, however i think they will prevail because they have a lot of young players. later.

Still trying to catch up on reading. Has been a busy couple weeks for me. Was in Indianapolis for a funeral on Sunday and Monday and back home Monday night. Late working yesterday and jury duty today. I was dismissed from jury duty so back to work.

I don’t think I’m going to have time for anything train related until Sunday as my oldest son Lucas is making his first communion on Saturday and the wifey has a list of things I need to do.

Good Evening

Kinda muggy and sticky out there tonight…posta get some shower thingees showing up later…

Had to do a bunch of stuff today …one being to actually find a new soundcard for the pooter…as it done went and poofed on me…typical.Grumpy

I’m going to go to the basement and redo a few things down there…namely some track needs relaid…againGrumpy

The sun came out, the warm air moved in and it’s 84 right now. Yep I got the grass cut. Ran some trains today, a couple TMs, a NYC F3 ABA, and a couple steamers. It’s warm so probably some Banilla later and then a chat with the guys…S.J.

A few scenes on the layout extension.

This is WAR!!! [:(!]

Got a live trap and am going to take out some raccoons tonight. [:-,]The little &%^)*( [oX)] tore up every flower pot on the deck and then took a dump. Set it with a can of tuna and some cat food.

I have had it. I have George locked in the house and in the morning I will be glad to kill anything in the live trap, that will then be a dead trap. [(-D]

Not much train stuff today but did work on my fifedog project.

Have a good night guys,

Prayers to those of you in need.

Display cases - I want something in dark wood tones, probably walnut. And I like to do woodworking, and it’s a great way to get the kids interested.

That’s great!! Give Jean all my best.

Good evening all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 80s. Work goes well. Picked up last paperwork from attorney and will meet with sister on May 14 to go over final details. Then it will be over from a legal standpoint as far as dad’s estate is concerned. It has been a long pull, but I am rounding the final turn and I see Pat Vidan getting ready to wave the checkered flag on this event. I see where they will make a video of Jim Nabor’s singing “Back Home Again in Indiana” as he will not be able to attend the race this year. It looks as if there may not be 33 cars for the race this year. If that is the case (and I hope that does not happen), someone made the most eloquent suggestion I ever heard. That person had the idea of someone lining up 33rd in Dan Wheldon’s car from last year on the parade and pace lap and pulling into the pits as a tribute to a fallen champion. I can think of no finer idea. TBIL and I can drive. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

PS It is May in Indiana!!!

Evenin’ All.

Been MIA for awhile, 10#'s of stuff in a 5# bag so to speak, been checkin but haven’t felt like posting.

Tonight I need to post a request, a friend who is also a train nerd & motorhead passed away last night but above all he was a man with a heart of gold. Please say a prayer for the Wait Family, this past year has really been tough for them with the loss of three generations. As his wife said if you want to know who Marvin was just play Sinatra’s “I Did It My Way”. [angel]

Thanks guys.

Later

Time to call it a night. Got the grass mowed today then went to the pharmacy to refill my meds then to Wal-Mart to pick up some rice and pasta dinner packets then to Captain D’s to get my dinner for today. No work on the layout but I did run some trains. GP7’s 116/544, GP9’s 7270/1809 and the F3 A/B set #500. Maybe tomorrow after more grocery shopping (food stamp day) I’ll run F7A/F3B/F2A Frankensteins. Good thing I don’t have any bridges. They’d have to be built heavy to support that trio. See y’all tomorrow.
