Hello all, getting on late today as had test at outpatient services at the hospital this morning… Slept all afternoon following that.

Chief and Don, I like the new plan. Lots of good things happening there. Can;t wait to see those NS engines chugging around and maybe some of the heritage units on the point. I love #8114 painted like the old original NS. It’s really an eye popper.

Chief, thanks for the layout plans and pics of the box. Looks great!

Ray

Dennis, just hope the Canadian post office doesn’t go on strike as well. Got caught by that one a while back with some stuff I had on order.

Ray

It’s 78 now. Another beautiful day. After getting home from the doctors, we had a very late lunch and skipped supper. No banilla tonight but got some for the thingy crew.

Chief we all know why you didn’t go to the meeting in Raleigh. NO FREE LUNCH. …S.J.

Good Evening…

I’se be heading off to [zzz] as well…have a good night!!

HEY SJ - Good luck!

Ray

Thanks Ray the incision is a little sore but not painful. A specialist will do the larger one next Thursday…S.J.

Evening all!

A warm one here today. 95 [xx(] News stated this is second warmest period in history. If this summer is a repeat of last it is going to be a bad one.

Got the tics to the HS grad ceremony today. We are only alloted 10. If you want more you have to find someone giving up tickets. Plus no real good place to sit at the arena. Good news is they sell you a video. So far he is still on track!! 4 days to go!

DougdaG - “…now the fun begins…” - pleaase say it ain’t so…[sigh]

Doug M - we have sat on that same wall at IRM. Sure looks like Ben had fun with Dad!

SJ - good luck tomorrow! [angel]

Have a great evening what is left of it.

Howdy guys - well we have good news and probably good news? First, Dad met with the surgeon who said with his other problems and age, and the fact that he has only ever had this one gallstone, it is not likely that he will require surgery at this time. He cleared the stone he had or it broke up and he is just recovering from the associated pancreatitis now. Medicare people even assessed him and said he doesn’t need any follow-up care. Also, Char had a CT Scan because of her persistent drainage and coughing. They found only some small polyps, but inflammation and excess mucuous, which are due to (probably) the residuals of her bacterial infection. ENT will see her and the transplant doctor thinks they will probably just “wash it out” and see how it goes from there.

Nice chat with SJ and Charlie tonight - glad that you are doing well SJ!

Laz - getting closer!

TARDIS is ready and we are willing, so let’s get a move on!

Dennis, just hope the Canadian post office doesn’t go on strike as well. Got caught by that one a while back with some stuff I had on order.

Konnichiwa,

Today is a base family day; basically we get the day off so we can have a four-day weekend in conjunction with Memorial Day. I still woke up early enough to get in a three-mile run and then the wife, youngest child, and I went for a leisurely walk while the older two ate breakfast. I then mowed the yards before the rain came – I was finishing up just as the rain started. We are going to spend the rest of day relaxing around the house.

SJ – I hope the removal procedures go well. I’m glad it’s not the bad kind either.

Dennis – I hope he has a good visit. Hopefully, his schedule will permit a meeting but I understand if it doesn’t.

Morning. Pretty day here. Some Box work and then off to the lake house. Lake buddy coming by for breakfast at BoJangles as he is coming to Raleigh. We got only a light amount of rain. Some got floods with hail. Mowing finished here [mine, pond easement and widow lady’s]. Wiley is being a smart puppy. Already spoiled. Sleeps with Mom at night [his bed during the day]. Mirra [the cat] and him share each others breakfast. They get along good. She slaps at him [no claws] and now he slaps back with his paw. Animals are funny.

Hope all have a safe and great weekend and holiday.

LAZ, how many more days??? [8D]

God bless.

Good Morning

Sunny and 73F outside right now…another sticky day with no rain in the forecast…

Going to get the A/C on and sit in it for a bit…then it is off to another cardiologist appointment …yay…

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR…

It is a cool 54 degrees. Going up to 88 today with a chance of rain later.

Today is an easy day. I have a few chores to do and then a small project to finish. I will take a nap after lunch.

Indians swept the series with the Tigers. Still in first place. Hope they stay there. They are playing the White Sox tonite.

Buckeye & LAZ…TGIF

Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.

Y’all have a great Friday.

Chuck

Mornin’ boys. TGIF! Sticky and 72 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Gonna be downright summer like all weekend long. Good for yatchet. Good for pool opening.

dbaker - I’m a little concerned with the aisle widths… Would be kinda funny if Mrs Chief has to dispatch a rescue box for a rescue from a box…

Mornin’ all!

Looks like it’s gonna be a hot weekend for Memorial Day - they’re saying mid-to-upper 80’s for the next 4-5 days. Glad the pool’s gonna be opening up.

Hoping to run trains with the kids tonight - Tyler’s project has kinda tied up our evenings the whole week so far. Glad that’s over and done with.

Hi Guys from the North Bluff.

Sunny and going to be another hot one today. [8D]

A lot of wind yesterday and I have limbs all over to pick up.

Wifey’s last day of work today = my last day of freedom. [:S]

My Lawyer friend left a message that our updated wills are done so I got to set a time to go sign them and pick them up.

Got a wedding tomorrow then not much planed for the weekend. I will stay off the roads.

SJ glad the first cut went well hope the next one does too.

BOC [angel]

Chief Have fun at the lake [Y]

The rest of you have a great holiday weekend with friends and family. [:D]

It’s 78 now, going into the 80s. Looks like a hot weekend with just a chance of showers each day. Dam# this font change. Granny will be leaving soon to watch a couple of the little darlings. But I had a good breakfast of corn beef hash w/an egg on top, plus some fresh fruit. I guess that makes it good and bad…S.J.

TGIF CTTFans!!!

It’s currently 50F and windy and they say we will get up to our season norm on low 70’s later today. Weekend forecast looks good but will be working on the Honey Do task list for most of it. [sigh]

Let’s not forget those this coming holiday is all about; they will be in my thoughts…

Good morning. It’s 79° and partly cloudy. The high will 92°.

Today if I have no interruptions I’ll be installing DCC decoders in the Athearn/Proto GP35 and the Rivarossi/Athearn U25C.

Yesterday I had intended to clean up the layout a bit after I mowed my parents yard. But I got invited to lunch afterward and my father is the insistent type. So I stayed and helped with the preparation of chili dogs. The way he makes them how could I resist. By the time I got home I didn’t feel like doing anything. So the cleanup will have to be done today.

I haven’t heard anymore from the bonehead who fancies himself the legal owner of the second loco in the F unit trio. I can’t see why he’d want to. It’s just something I built one piece at a time from a collection of junk parts, kinda like Johnny Cash’s Cadillac. It doesn’t even look as good as the one in the photo below.

Hello all,

Sunny breezy and warm here

TGIF!!! and a three day weekend t’ boot

Lot’s o stuff needs done. Monday I’ll definitely attend Memorial Day services at the cemetery and have a picnic be it large or small. It is predicted to be hot & humid.
