Rehab My Railroad: Episode 1

Great show. I have a layout in NH that could use a rehab,
if you ever want to take a road trip.

Anybody that has been building and operating a model railroad for more than a couple of years has seen new products come out that can make improvements to the layout. This video gives great ideas on how to accomplish those kinds of projects.

I really like the first episode of rehab my railroad, looking forward to more. I don’t know if any body has mention the plywood on the rehab my railroad if it is a 4’ x 8’ sheet of plywood the grain should be going length wise not width wise.

Love the first episode. I think this is the best idea for a series I have seen yet from MR.

This was a good idea for a video series. I like all the characters in the show! It must be a lot of fun working at MR!

I have been wanting to add working grade crossings to my layout now maybe I will . looking forward to the next episode. I had a similar problem with exposed ceiling joists over my railroad. To cover them up, I used plain 2x4 ceiling tiles screwed to joists with drywall screws. The seams of the tiles are covered with furring strips painted white. It keeps down on the dust and if I need access to the ceiling above, I can just unscrew them.

Just started watching this series. Late comer but I appreciate the fact that this is about a layout that looks like a lot of other average guys layouts. Not a piece of artwork but a real everyday endeavor. A lot of us have rooms similar to this and I for one like it. Looks like a good series.

one of the best things I like about this new series, is we get to see the overall railroad. close ups and details are nice to look at, but I find it almost just as interesting to be able to see just how the whole railroad is situated and laid out. keep up the great work.

Who foots the bill for all of the items? It seems to be getting expensive. Thanks.
Jim
