Removing lettering from new Walthers Passenger Cars

Has anyone tried this yet? Just script, no stripes or logos on a new Plated car. Ordered same car twice and I can re-decal it for another train. Already tried decal setting solution. Any suggestions would be helpfull, thanks.

I have used both 91% Iso Alchohol & Scale Coat Paint Remover on Q-Tips to do these tasks with excellent results.
However, DISCLAIMER have not done that on plated units!!! -Caution…
Here are some pix of my results of toning down lettering on other projects…
Please try these on some area of a car that will not be seen or be weathered out before attemtping on the most gentile & visible areas… - even if in the same model mandacture, never know when they changed paint formulas or application methods…
I would strongly recommend trying the 91% IsoAL first, as the Scale Coat Remover is much more aggressive & Faster, I almost lost the ER Car’s lettering by letting SCPR go too quicly…

PS: you can see the patch out decals in this shot very well, on the Magor Car! (MicroScale Silver sheet snips - the slight see through, really impresses me, a bonus on this one!!).

Please return here & let us know what worked for you on your Plated Cars, Please!!

I removed the letterboard printing from 12 passenger cars with Solvaset and a new standard pink pencil eraser completely, with no damage to the body paint. Also from a UP diesel. Takes a few minutes of rubbing before much happens.

Sorry, all I just got around to trying this method and it worked, let the Solvaset soak for 1-2 min and it comes right off. Thanks for the help!!!
