Yesterday on the way home from work, I stopped at the local hobby shop and picked up a couple pairs of Athearn’s new 28’ pup trailers to add variety to the 40’ and 45’ trailers hauled on my piggyback cars. They look great and would fit my era (mid-70s to mid-90s). However, I got home, took them out of the boxes, and found that they have the companies’ websites on the ends of the trailers, which would be a bit too modern for my timeline. While the print isn’t very noticable at a normal viewing distance, the perfectionist side of me would like to remove the websites to backdate the trailers more to my timeline. Is there an easy way to do this without damaging the rest of the paint/trailer?
