replace switch motor with manual indicators

Hi,

I am working on my layout and have 10 switches, 7 of which are in front of the power source. I was thinking of wiring up the distant switches but perhaps replacing the close ones with a manual type. I have seen references to folks that have replaced the motor with what looks like a small red/green indicator to indicate the direction of the switch. Does anyone know of a source for these that would work with Atlas Code 100?

Thank you for your time,

Kevin Coyle

Caboose Hobbies makes a manual switch operator. They are in the Walthers Reference book and they have ads in Model Railroader. They will work on many manufactures turnouts.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I searched on google and came across an entry where someone used N-guage on his HO layout for a more realisitc sizing,

Thanks,

Kevin

I use Caboose Industries ground throws.
