To all you cable subscribers who have missed out on the great train shows on RFD-TV, they anounced that they are going to be available to cable subscribers. You may have to ask your local company to carry them. I would encourage everyone to go to RFDTV.com to take the survey and request the train related programs. This way we can keep them on.
Nice to hear that RFD is going cable but I get RFD on channel 279 on DirecTV in the West Palm Beach area. Some cable providers may already have RFD on thier lineup.
Used to have DIsh and really liked this channel. Switched back to cable on a package deal with internet and phone and really have missed this channel - you bet I’ll contact Charter!
First, Lee, I need to clarify, they are going into cable, but not leaving satalite.
Dave, The Train Show is not on anymore, and IMO not such a loss as it got real lame, like having a whole show on the monorail going around Newark Airport. Just showed Rich’s son and family on this thing and the travellers as they boarded and left. As to other shows, they have the “I Love Toy Trains” series, Trains and Locomotives, Machines Of The Past, occasionally has some trains, and some of the programs like Alaska Magazine have rides on the trains.
Another channel to check out is History International which has the Voyages program that has many train related shows, like the Herron Rail Series, and programs like Trains at War, The Hudson’s, China’s Steam, etc.
