Ring tones for my cell phone

where can I find really good steam locomotive ring tones for my cell phone? Thanks

I asked this question about a year ago and got very few responses. Just google “ring tones, steam locomotive” and you will get many hits, some of them different names for the same enterprise somewhere in Mexico…so heads-up on that one. You pay a fee once for the download, and then you have to have the internet connectivity facility on your phone. I don’t know, since I decided not to pursue it, if there are “pop-up” hidden charges when you finally get your statement.

Good luck…if you find success, perhaps you can return and relate your method?

Most phones have a recording option. Get a good video or DVD with what you want, and record from that. Set as ringtone. I have the Sanford and Son theme for my ringtone.[;)]

How about Diesel Ringtones?

The GE Transportation Web site have 3 of them for free download. My cell phone “rings” with a Crossing Sound, 2 longs, a short, and a very long.

Do you look both ways before answering the phone?[(-D]

Hahahahahaha!!![(-D][(-D]

DMUinCT; if/when I get a cell phone, I want a ringtone like that![8D]

I’d like to have the song “Locomotion” by Little Eva as my ringtone. Does anyone have a clue if it’s even available, and if so where? Thanks.

I would say just go to the web site of your phone service provider or if you have the web on your phone and see if they have it. Usually they have a lot of different ring tones you can download, but not necessarily oldies unfortunately. But it can’t hurt to try.

I’m surprised you can’t find it from one of the Napster-type downloading services; it’s a Baby Boomer classic.

If desperate, go to songlyrics dot com and enter “The Locomotion” (“Locomotion” if the first doesn’t hit), and of course “Little Eva” as the artist.

There is all sorts of information about each song, including copyright and sometimes chain-of-ownership stuff, that you could research going forward in time rather than backward in time. I bet a sidebar ad gives you a link right to the “Locomotion” ringtone-providers, though. It’s a very commercial site. - a. s.
