Your predicament is understandable. My wife’s cousin was celebrating because he recently picked up an out of production Rivorossi Lehigh Valley C420 at a train show still new in the box. He has another C420 that has a broken gear and for nearly 5 years has been trying to find a replacement gear that, unfortunately, is an oddball size. I’ll ask him if he would like to part with the unit now that he just bought a new one.

Atlas is releasing a brand new C-420 in March or May. Tiger Valley Models has chassis’ for their C-420, but you’ll have to modify it to fit the MRC/Riv trucks.

I spoke to him for a while. He though about it and decided he’s going to keep it as a friend told him that he may have a solution for his gear problem.

Sorry. Looks like checking ebay may be the option in hunting for one of these units. C420s likely show up from time to time as I’ve seen a lot of Rivorossi-IHC-AHM up for bid daily.
