I’m working on compiling a list of all the roadnames in North America. I’ve come up so far with the list below, but I’m sure I miss a lot of roadnames and I’d like to ask your help to complete my list.
Thanks in advance.

A few western roads: Northwestern Pacific, Sacramento Northern, McCloud River Line, California Western, Oregon Electric, Alameda Belt line, Virginia and Truckee, Sierra Western, and I’m sure there were lots of others.
You can find every name ever used on the Internet if you look around. I found it once, but don’t remember where it was – a U.S. Government agency, I believe – maybe the Trademark and Patent Office. Someone had them posted on their private Web site, too. I have the list printed out, but don’t have it on disk any more or I could e-mail it to you.
I just typed “Railroad names” into Google and it came up with a site that is compiling them, as well as model railroad names – give that a try.
