Mr. Larson’s comments are insulting to Ross Capon’s work at NARP as well as misinformed. The battle to save and promote passenger rail services in the US has been a long and difficult one. NARP with a relatively small membership, staff, and budget, compared to most DC NGOs and lobbying firms has been an important advocate for passenger rail way beyond the size of the organization. Ross has been largely responsible for carrying forth this message and having an outsized influence on our political establishment. I greatly appreciate the efforts he has made in this regard and shall greatly miss his presence at NARP.
