I have the Union City roundhouse and 120’ turntable in N scale. Can anyone give me dimensions for proper layout? I have searched for this info, but no luck.
I’m not having much luck trying to lay it out visually.
Thanks for your help.

Walthers is pretty good about providing dimensions for their products on their web site:

And the size of a 120-foot turntable can be directly calculated from the definition of N-scale, 1:160.
If you’re talking about how to place the two so the tracks line up, I believe that the roundhouse floor comes with grooves for rail to be installed. If you place that floor on a sheet of cardboard, you can use a ruler to extend those lines toward the center until they intersect. That’s the centerpoint of the roundhouse’s radius. You can then use the cardboard as a template to plan the building’s placement on your layout. Put the place where the extended rail lines intersect at the pivot point of your turntable and you’ve got it.

Thanks for the comments. I thought of the same thing AFTER it was assembled. I hoped someone had dimensions I could use to lay out the proper spacing between the two. The slots in the floor are wider than the rail section, so it looks like I will have to make a jig to locate them. Thanks again.
If my measurements are correct, it will be 6-15/16" from the roundhouse to the edge of the pit, or 11-1/2" from the roundhouse to the center of the pit. Good luck with the kit. I never had success with that turntable, so I splurged for the Built-Up. One hundred percent better!

Thanks for the verification. I’ve been using the Atlas RTS freeware and that is about the same dimension I came up with. Thanks again.
